DeFoe Family

This sweet family are recent Arizonans.

Mom contacted me do do a mini session for their Christmas cards. She wanted the look and feel of Arizona, so we went off to the Riparian Preserve to get some fun desert shots without having to trek her kids out into the wilderness.

Her husband was stuck in traffic and after doing the kids pictures and waiting another 20-30 minutes, dad showed up just as the sun completely disappeared.

Their middle son has disabilities. Mom was nervous about taking pictures because other photographers have gotten nervous or exasperated when he wouldn't cooperate. I'm unique to that situation, since my oldest brother also is disabled.

He did AMAZING for this photos, I actually cried while editing them--I was praying during the shoot that they would be wonderful, and they were. I enjoyed my time with them, and can't wait to work with them in the future!

Baby Tameifuna

I had the great privilege to do a mini maternity session with Tameifuna's parents this fall! I was so happy when mom called me and scheduled a newborn session on Halloween!

This baby was such a good little guy. He snoozed through his session with no fuss.
His parents brought in some cultural items (like the mat) and it just made the session all the more special!!

I hope to take pictures of little Tameifuna as he grows!!

Rachel--mini session

When i went to cosmetology school 7+ years ago, I was one of the oldest girls there. At 22 I was old. There were a few women my age and some a little older, but we were in the minority.
Rachel ended up being one of my best school friends. We had a lot in common and I trusted her to cut my hair. That's a friendship that will never fade! :)

Rachel has lived a good 50-60 minutes away from me, but fairly recently moved closer--about 20-30 minutes now. She reached out this fall asking for me to take some pictures for her Christmas cards. Of course I said yes!! She is superwoman! She takes care of her own business, her home, the land, and an assortment of animals that are just so cute!

Welcome 2017!

Its a new year already!!

2016 FLEW by for my family and my business!! I had 53 newborn shoots alone in 2016! I was so blessed with my wonderful clients and meeting so many great people--I can't wait to see what 2017 has in store for me and Andrea Hunt Photography!!

Since its the beginning of the new year, and I have so many new readers, I thought I'd re-introduce myself for you all. :)

I'm Andrea.

I'm an almost 30-natural blonde-mom-wife-cosmetologist-and photographer!

I live in Mesa, Arizona and love this beautiful and ridiculously hot desert :)

(taken at the Salt River)

I have a great family. I've been married to my husband for 7+ years...

(babies!)

I have an awesome 3 year old son...

I spend what free time I have grocery shopping, playing chase, hoping up and down stairs or thresholds, fighting "en gaurde" with empty paper towel holders, playing cars, and watching Rescue Bots with my boss...the 3 year old. :)

I have been taking family portraits for friends and family since 2005. I have always loved taking pictures and before marriage and kids, I loved scrap booking those pictures (now i do digital scrapbooks--love technology!) :)

I went to college, then went to cosmetology school and worked as a stylist for a few years. Once I got pregnant, I knew I wanted to devote as much time as I could to being a stay at home mom. My new baby re-ignited my love for photography. I started my business in 2014 and its just grown and grown since! I have taken pictures of newborns, baptisms, high school seniors, engagements, and maternity! I love it all. I love to capture special moments.

My style of photography is all about realness. Its taking a moment in time and freezing it, and allowing you to remember and feel exactly what you were; then. Posed portraits are great and I do that as well, but I thrive in a more loose and unstructured environment (more lifestyle). When it comes to newborns, I don't pose them in un-natural ways--I prefer free posing...because no one remembers their 7 day old getting into the froggy position (because that would be crazy), but you WILL remember when they slept with their arms up above their head :)

I also have an obsession with barros pizza (but almost all pizza...)

Pepsi...

Good books/Fun reads...(fun fact: i am a natural speed reader)

Finding change in my car...

LISTS!...

Instagram...

Christmas (anything!)...

Flamingos...

and I am fascinated by Great White Sharks/Python snakes...!

I am happy you are here, please don't be shy, and stay awhile!

If you are interested in pricing and booking a session, please email me at andreawhunt@yahoo.com or visit my page on facebook at Andrea Hunt Photography!

Baby Luke + Family

Sweet Luke was supposed to see me when he was (alot) smaller, but the poor thing kept getting sick! As a mom to a preemie, I completely understand!!
Luke was born at 35 weeks, just like my little guy, but he was a bit bigger. However he didn't escape being immuno-compromised!
So we needed to wait until he was healthy enough, which brought us to his almost 4 month birthday!

This sweet family brought in some fun props--dad's college football helmet and some sports toys. I think this boy might be an athlete. We'll see!! Enjoy!!

Baby Everett

Baby Everett is the tail end of his family! Mom and Dad have quite a gap in-between their last two kids, and he is the baby of 4.

You can tell how loved he is--and what a blessing their family thinks he is.

He did awesome, and slept, and modeled the crocheted booties and beanies his momma made him.
So so very cute!
